Copper was always used in kitchens but the disadvantage of having to frequently reline the pans with a tin coating has resulted in the popularity of stainless steel cookware. The main disadvantage of stainless steel is its poor conductivity compared with that of copper, thus making it difficult to simmer evenly.

Multiform has developed a new product specifically for professionals, made of thick copper (3.5mm) with a stainless steel inner surface which bears the official stamp of Villedieu Les Poeles as a certificate of authenticity.

Multiform has also resolved the problem of having rivets inside the saucepan. Today rivets are no longer used giving a perfectly smooth interior surface which is easy to clean. They are also guaranteed for life. Multiform are the only company to use "without rivets" and also the 3.5mm thick copper.
